Heavy Rain

God wants to duplicate this testimony. I got a message from a young lady a week ago and she got a violation of probation and was facing some time and she asked what the Lord was saying and immediately the Holy Spirit said I'm dropping this case and she will go away free.

Well a week later today she messaged me and said "the word came to pass they dropped it and she couldn't believe it! My bible tells me that the Lord rains on the righteous and the unrighteous but the question is do you believe this?

You see she was seeking the Lord maybe not fully knowing him yet but at the end I told her now it's time to give your life to the Lord! She responded with a yes in her heart!

I believe God has a special plan for her life! It's one of intimacy and of a relationship! If this is you and you have a court date " I declare this testimony Rev 19:10 that God will drop all charges and release Heavy Rain over you or your family!

MAYBE IT'S NOT FOR ME?

Sunday night, the woman in this picture (Desiree) received the baptism in the Holy Spirit.  She had for a LONG TIME asked God for it and to speak in tongues, but had never been able to receive.  She'd even began to question if God wanted her to have it.  

I've known a lot of people who've asked God for something He's promised, but over time grew weary because they couldn't seem to get the breakthrough.  In fact, we've all probably been there at some point in our lives.  Many give up and adopt theologies to excuse it as God's will.  

But Desiree yielded once more and received!  You can see her encountering the glory of God and crying tears of joy in picture below.

The funny thing is, this time she merely came forward to receive prayer for a sore throat.  Haha.  Thankfully, Rose Straeter heard Holy Spirit say, "She wants tongues."  So, Richard and Rose laid hands on her and leaned into Jesus.  I'll let Desiree tell the rest in her own words.  I hope and pray it will encourage someone reading to never quit seeking God for what He's promised:

"I've had a horrible cough for 3 weeks now, and I asked for healing since the meds make me feel worse. Rose was praying and asked if I have ever been baptized in the Spirit and if there is a gift that I've asked for. Right away I said the gift of tongues.

But I had some doubt, not about what God could do, but what I would allow Him to do. Rose and her husband just kept pressing in, asking me to clear my mind and focus on the Lord - to not worry what was around me or what my flesh wanted.

At first, I know I resisted, but as I kept seeking Him in faith it was like a chain that broke. The dam gave way. I kept thinking, "Finally! I've wanted this gift so long!!"

I knew I had been letting my flesh be in control, holding me back.  I've always compared myself to others thinking, "I would never be worthy or holy enough."  But last night as Rose just kept pressing in, slowly my flesh started to break down.  It was amazing, truly amazing! I don't think I've quit smiling since!"

[P.S. Tongues is merely one, small part to the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.  Ultimately, it's about receiving dunimus (from where we derive the English word "dynamite") miraculous power.  See Acts 1:8.  The Holy Spirit is IN all believers, but to be baptized in Him is to be poured out UPON for purpose of greater intimacy and ministry power].

A Korean Wife Hears Christ Speak to Her

During the time that I was an Artillery Officer - before I became an Army Chaplain - I had the opportunity on a field training exercise to share the Good News with my new driver. He prayed and received Christ as Savior in our vehicle. He was born again. Within a few weeks of that time, he was baptised in water and he had received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. He was now able to pray in a supernatural prayer language which is often called "speaking in tongues."

He had recently returned from being stationed in South Korea. During that time, he had married a lovely Korean woman. She was very polite and gracious. However, she did not speak English and my driver didn't speak Korean very well. She was also a practising Buddhist. He had tried unsuccessfully to explain to her what had happened to him. She didn't understand what had happened to her husband but understood that he was very happy about it. As a result, she was not opposing his faith in Christ.

There was a "charismatic" style worship service that happened every Sunday night. Often during that service, people came to the altar to pray. One evening, I and my wife Ann and my driver and his Korean wife were in attendance. He went to the altar to pray and she followed along - just to be with him - and knelt at the altar with him.

There were quite a few who had come to the altar to pray. My driver was on the left of his wife and there was another man on her right. Because she had come along to the altar, my driver felt inspired to pray for her salvation. He wanted her to experience what he was experiencing.

After a few minutes, the man on her right at the altar started speaking in fluent Korean to her. However, he never looked at her. He simply looked straight ahead like he was praying. He called her by name. He told her that she was loved by God. He told her that Christ had died for her sins. He told her that she could receive forgiveness of her sins. He told her that she could have a brand new life by believing in Jesus. There was much more. He spoke to her in Korean for at least five minutes. Several times, he used her name.

Finally, curiosity overwhelmed her. She tapped him on the shoulder. He turned towards her. She asked him in Korean how he knew her. He looked puzzled and then recognised that she was Korean and was speaking in that language to him. He said: "I am sorry but I don't speak Korean." He had been speaking in tongues - in his supernatural prayer language - to God. He didn't know Korean but the Holy Spirit knew Korean and used him to speak to her.

When she found out that he did not speak Korean and that God had been speaking to her in this amazing way, she believed and received Christ as her Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
